Manifest

The Manifest contains the key assumptions and values developed by the founding group of the Scientific Confraternity of Evidence Researchers (SCoER), consisting of Marek Jabłoński, Adam Jabłoński, Piotr Janulek, Daniel Dulęba, and Mariusz Glenszczyk.

As ambitious science researchers, we are constantly seeking new opportunities to advance professionalism in the theory and practice of management science.

The principles below are intended to help other researchers better understand the foundations of evidence-based management promoted by our research group.

8 Adopted Core Principles:

  1. Our goal is to develop and promote a new theory of evidence-based management in organizations, grounded in the analysis of large datasets of scientific research results in the discipline of management science.
  2. The concepts of Evidence-Based Practice and Evidence-Based Management directly stem from the experiences of the medical sector. The deliberate adaptation of practices and methods from Evidence-Based Medicine and the pharmaceutical industry to management and quality sciences offers a new perspective on the application of systematic reviews, literature analysis, and meta-analysis in areas where these are not yet widely applied.
  3. The concept of "Evidence-Based Practice," highly popular in medical literature, has only marginally influenced research in management and quality sciences. This knowledge gap warrants further scientific exploration, as researchers have shown limited interest in adapting this methodology to address challenges in the field.
  4. Managers are often unaware that management and quality sciences possess extensive databases of scientific publications that contain knowledge derived from research. These serve as evidence for developing principles of evidence-based management, which integrates scientific research findings into managerial decision-making processes.
  5. Evidence-based management is a new approach to enhancing organizational efficiency. By leveraging systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses, it enables managers to make decisions based on findings published in scientific articles.
  6. The complex interdependencies among decision variables in modern management can be clarified through the application of systematic literature reviews and intelligent logical keys. These methodologies allow for the translation of experiences from massive datasets into simple, effective, and efficient managerial decisions in contexts of opportunities, constraints, and emergent challenges.
  7. To make extensive datasets of scientific research results valuable for advancing management and business theory and practice, it is crucial to explore ways to utilize these data to promote progress in research and scientific understanding.
  8. Establishing decision-making systems grounded in scientific evidence, Big Data analysis, expert knowledge, and standardized practices can significantly improve organizational management efficiency and quality.

8 Adopted Value-Based Principles:

  1. Development and Professionalism. We will continuously advance Evidence-Based Management by utilizing the best and most professional scientific research practices and specialized services.
  2. Humility and Openness. We will remain committed to learning and humbly seek diverse approaches, perspectives, and respect for other viewpoints regarding our concepts.
  3. Respect for Diversity. We will respect one another and treat our team as equals, regardless of academic degrees and titles.
  4. Search for Truth. Our goal is to pursue truth in research and provide reliable confirmation of our hypotheses.
  5. Building Relationships. We aim to unite new supporters, allies, and ambassadors around our project to gain widespread recognition and appreciation in both science and practice.
  6. Commitment and Perseverance. We will work tirelessly to achieve a high level of scientific understanding in this field, treating our work and its results as a value of the highest order.
  7. Joy of Creation. We will approach our work with passion, dedication, and joy.
  8. Transparency. We will promote our idea and build a strong research team recognized not only in Poland but also internationally.
